La burbuja

Sonic Trace Launch Party:
Tomorrow night, Join Anayansi Diaz-Cortes and her Sonic Trace team from KCRW to be among the first to tell your story inside La Burbuja (the bubble)—an innovative portable sound booth that won the project's design challenge earlier this summer. 

Enjoy traditional Oaxacan food, drink and music whlle you mingle with the project's producers, architects and KCRW members.

Hear Here Story Slam-wich:
On Friday, Erica Mu and Audrey Dilling of Localore's Hear Here project at KALW serve up food-themed tales from professional storytellers and local residents, alongside a grilled cheese cookoff sure to satisfy.

Texas Folklife Listening Party:
Also on Friday, join Austin Music Map producer Delaney Hall at a free listening party hosted by Maria Martin—one of the founders of Latino USA, and an instructor for the Texas Folklife's Summer Institute, "Stories from Deep in the Heart."
 
Hall will present a piece that she produced with a group of youth reporters about a groundbreaking family of female accordionists. See her photos of the students and performers in action.
